Qatar Visa on Arrival Facility Suspended for Pakistani Travelers

Pakistan Embassy in Qatar has announced that visa on arrival facility for Pakistani tourists for Qatar has temporarily been suspended. The measures have been taken to avoid any inconvenience due to recent geopolitical situations. Pakistani travelers must obtain appropriate visas prior to their arrival to Qatar.

Qatar Visa on Arrival for Pakistani Nationals

Qatar allowed visa on arrival facility to Pakistani tourists by completing few simple requirements. Pakistani tourists were usually allowed to travel to Doha without visa by simply booking a hotel on Discover Qatar's official website for the duration of their stay. This facility has now been suspended as per Pakistani Embassy in Doha.

Pakistani nationals intending to travel to Qatar are advised that visa-on-arrival facility is currently not available due to prevailing situation. All Pakistani travellers to Qatar are advised to obtain appropriate visas prior to travel to avoid inconvenience.

Duration of Qatar Visa on Arrival Suspension for Pakistan

According to official sources, there is no intimation when this suspension will be withdrawn. As we assume that this measure has been taken in favor of travelers due to recent security situation in the region; the suspension is expected to be withdrawn once the tourism resumes after the conflict in the region is over.

Passengers who are still planning to visit Qatar can apply for an e-visa online before their travel on official website of Qatar's Ministry of Interior through Hayya portal. To apply your visa you need follow these steps:

• Go to official website https://hayya.qa
• Select 'Start your e-visa journey'
• Select your nationality and answer the questions related to your current residency
• If you are not a GCC resident or a resident of US, the UK, Canada, Schengen, Australia or New Zealand, you will be given an option to apply for 'Tourist Visa (A1)' category
• The visa fee is QAR 100 and is paid on final approval
• You will need scan of your passport, ID, photo along with your hotel confirmation or host information
• The application usually takes under 10 minutes
