Umrah Travel Advisory 2025: Updated Riyaz ul Jannah Visiting Times and Regulations

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque has introduced new visiting hours and rules for Riyaz ul Jannah. Pilgrims must now obtain a Nusuk permit, limited to one visit every 365 days. Instant approval is possible for those near the mosque. All visitors must enter through the southern courtyards facing Gate 37 for smoother crowd control.

Visiting Hours and Access Guidelines

Men may enter Rawdah daily from 2:00 AM until Fajr and again from 11:20 AM until Isha. On Fridays, extra hours include 9:20 AM to 11:20 AM and after Jummah prayer until Isha. Women can visit Rawdah after Fajr until 11:00 AM and again from after Isha until 2:00 AM. Friday hours adjust slightly, offering access after Fajr until 9:00 AM and after Isha until 2:00 AM.

Wheelchair Access

Elderly visitors may enter using wheelchairs under approved guidelines, ensuring accessibility for all. The presidency aims to maintain safety and order while making the experience easier for mobility-challenged pilgrims. Combined with the Nusuk permit system, the new timings support a smoother, well-managed visit to this blessed area.

How to Obtain Rawdah Approval Through the Nusuk App

To secure your Rawdah permit, simply log in to the Nusuk app on your smartphone:

  1. Sign in using your Absher-linked account or passport details.
  2. From the main menu, select "Prophet’s Mosque Services" and choose "Rawdah Visit Permit".
  3. You can then pick your preferred date and time based on the available slots.
  4. After submitting the request, the system will issue instant approval if you are physically near the mosque.
  5. Otherwise, you will receive confirmation within the app.

Make sure to keep the digital permit ready, as it will be checked at the entrance gate before your visit.
